Three fundamental questions to ask yourself BEFORE you start out to search a woman from Ukraine

Dear friends,

You know that search for a special Ukrainian woman is worthwhile and life-defining. However, not every Western man will find a perfect Ukrainian lady for life. From my experience, I should say that most of the Western men looking for a woman from Ukraine or Russia are not aware of how the search could be complicated and especially expensive for them.

If you have no success with Ukrainian dating, you feel only disappointment and have perhaps financial problems, too. To avoid this I would like to ask you a possible checklist of questions whose answers might indicate your chances in Ukrainian and Russian dating.

Here important questions you should ask yourselves before starting the adventure of your life:

Question #1: Are you ready find a lot time for Internet recherché of dating services, users’ reviews, experiences and reading true dating stories? Are you ready to find a special lady from Ukraine, communicate with, fall in love with, and get engaged to? Are you ready to deal with intercultural differences in a Ukrainian-Western marriage?

The first question is very long (three questions in one). Sorry for this. But the very beginning of each adventure is always difficult. A lot of Western men start looking for Ukrainian women for marriage through different dating sites and companies without any idea about Ukrainian dating, Ukrainian women and their culture.

They do know what dating service is good for them, how to write messages to Ukrainian women and how to communicate with them. The guys do not know anything about the specific features of a cross-cultural relationship and how to deal with these differences in your Ukrainian-Western relationship. I would definitely recommend you to learn more about this matter before entering into the search for a Ukrainian wife.

Question #2: Are you ready and able to travel to meet your special Ukrainian lady in the next 6-12 months?

In other words, one meeting in person is much better and more effective than 1000 mails and phone calls. You should be aware of that once you have developed fixed correspondence with the lady the next natural step is going to Ukraine to meet the woman in person.  Furthermore, the woman expects from you too that you are making plans to go and visit her in her native town. You should not begin any correspondence with Ukrainian women until you’re sure if you’re ready for this step or not.

Question #3: Are you financially stable enough to support a Ukrainian or Russian spouse and possible children in the near future?

You should know that your immigrant wife needs a lot of time to integrate into her new country (learn how to help her to integrate here: “Four simple tips to help your Ukrainian wife to integrate into the Western culture“). She has to learn a new language, culture, and people. In other words, she won’t be able to start working in the next 3-12 months. Therefore, you should think about the level of safety and financial support you can offer your future wife. Guys, you needn’t be rich, just responsible and considerate.

Dear Gentlemen, I have got three basic but extremely important questions with serious implications on your likely success in finding your special woman from Ukraine. I am sure there should be much more. You must ask and seriously consider each of these questions.

That would be disastrous for you if you answer “no” to any of these questions after you have invested a lot of money, time or emotions in your dating search. As for me, this is much better to spend time answering these basic questions before you begin.

Dear readers, please tell me what you think of these questions.

    Thanks for the article 🙂

As for my own opinion. I would venture to say that you’ve asked and raised great questions for men wanting to find a Ukrainian wife. I would add one more question though….

My question would be..”Men, are you willing to learn Russian, since 80% of all websites in Ukraine are in Russian, since your wife to be will want to teach and speak russian to her future children, since more than likely over 90% of her friends don’t speak english fluently and you will be communicating with her associates and friends when you go to see her, since more than likely her parent(s) are not fluent in English? ”

As you know, I’m learning russian right now cause I know that when I show an interest in my future wife’s country and language, the reception I’ll recieve will be multiplied. It might take me 8 months to a year to become conversational but once that happens, I’ll be good to go. Michael Mordinson told me that it’s not neccessary to learn ALL of russian language. So, I won’t try to learn ALL of it, just conversational aspect of the russian language. I’m not going to try to learn medical terminology or any other complicated words because it takes at least 5 years of living in a country to even catch such words and remember them on a regular basis. Conversational russian is perfect enough.

And, although my future wife will be living in Hawaii, it will ease her nerves and anxiety when she knows that she’s able to communicate with me in Russian so that we are able to understand each other until her english skills catch up with her russian skills.

    Mahalo from Hawaii 🙂

Oh, something else. I mentioned that I just started learning Russian and that I’m looking at a window of 8 to 12 months to become conversationally fluent. I told Michael Mordinson that I wanted to be in Ukraine in July. But, the truth is that it will probably be more likely that I will be in Ukraine either at the end of August or in September. I am trying my best not to go there when it’s cold 🙂
