The perfect online dating profile – a key element to getting lots of online dates
In my opinion, Russian and Ukrainian online dating sites do work (I know several successful stories of the Russian/Ukrainian-Western couples who’ve met on such sites). Despite the huge amount of scammers and professional pro-daters in the International dating and marriage industry, I believe there is a real chance that a Ukrainian-Western match on one of these sites can turn into a long term commitment.
Nevertheless, just joining a Russian dating website isn’t really enough to get you the socializing results you want. When you join a dating site you have to sell yourself, and that can be bit of a problem.
Most people feel that selling themselves is much like bragging (something we’ve been taught not to do.) However, the Internet sort of changes this premise, as reading about a person is the only way to get to know them, especially if you can’t see the person, or pick up the phone and call them.
Luckily, I’ve created a fine guideline to help get your online dating profile the most messages from gorgeous Ukrainian and Russian brides. 🙂
Tip #1: First impressions count
As you know, gentlemen, on most traditional dates, it’s the first impression that counts most. However, if you decided to meet a Ukrainian or Russian woman on an online dating site, you’ve already made your first impression.
Whether you realize it or not, your first impression is your online dating profile. And if it doesn’t portray you in a favorable light…well, let’s just say it can be a real “turn off.” AS the guy you have to give your profile a “big bang.” To do this you have optimize your pitch, get it to stand out from every other guy’s profile, and best of all, get it to appeal to the Russian / Ukrainian woman’s intellect.
Of course, this is a “tall order,” a flattering picture is not going to get the job done on its own. You have to combine persuasive written language with great images that make your profile overflow with interest.
How do you do this? Well, you certainly want to stay away from boring, and nothing signals the term better than vague adjectives. Stay away from vague descriptive terms such as “laid-back and easygoing.” These are really non descriptive and offer no real meaning in a profile. You also want to stay away from works like “awesome,” “cool,” “funny.”
Almost everyone uses these terms, so you want to avoid them like the plague. Think of descriptions that set you apart from everyone else. Instead you could compare yourself to comedians or famous people who are witty and funny in your country. You might say something like “Some say I am much like (the name of the famous person.)” 🙂
Tip #2: Tell a Story
Don’t make a list of what you like. That just emphasizes dull. Instead, tell a story about the activities you like. “Last summer I went on holiday to Goa, India. During my stay I strolled along the beach daydreaming of the future book I would write. Have dinner with me and I’ll tell you more.” This adds intrigue to your profile and gives Russian& Ukrainian brides something more to talk about. It makes you sound like an active, intelligent and interesting person.
Tip #3: Don’t Lie
Just because you speak of your interests in a story-like form doesn’t give you license to lie. Don’t fib about your personal appearance. It’s important that you state your exact height and physical characteristics. Believe it! Your Russian and Ukrainian bride will notice, and even a minor lie, will make her think you are lying about something more important.
Tip #4: Don’t Overshare Information
Russian and Ukrainian ladies looking at your profile don’t need to know you just got over a bad break-up, that you feel depressed, or that you don’t really believe in online dating. Keep all of this information out of your online dating profile. Hints of sadness in your profile just send Ukrainian brides running away.
Tip #5: Choose Appropriate Photos
Don’t just put a photo up because you have it on your desktop. Inspect the photo and think of the message it sends. Use photos that show you as a happy and interesting guy. This doesn’t mean the party or bar photos. Just a photo where you aren’t posed with that scared “please don’t take my picture” look. Online date site statistics show that most people prefer outdoor shots to either the professional pose or interior photographs.
Tip #6: Ask Others for an Opinion
Creating an interesting profile of yourself on a Russian online dating site is not as easy as you would think. You have to put yourself in the audience’s shoes. To get an idea of what others might think of your profile, ask friends to review it, and give you feedback.
Ask them to observe it with a critical eye and to give you their honest opinion about whether it might be interesting to potential Russian & Ukrainian online dates. Friends often see personal aspects that you may not even be aware of. They can help punch up your profile and catch any of those sulking or depressing statements you might put in there.
Tip #7: Bottom Line
Take the time to write out a complete profile. Don’t decide this is too much work. It’s the profile that makes readers take a second look, and a simple list of your physical appearance and interests just won’t make your profile stand out from the rest.
Remember, a good online dating profile is a growing accomplishment so you want to add and subtract to it frequently. Change out pictures and add more interest as you continue to use the website. Good luck in your Ukrainian online dating adventure! 🙂
